Sport Affairs department team were crowned winners of the 11th edition of the prestigious Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Ramadan Futsal Tournament, following their 1-0 victory over President Office team in the final held Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Indoor Hall on Friday.
At the victory ceremony, Sport Affairs Department director Khaleel Ibrahim al-Jaber and Championship director Ishaq al-Hashimi honoured the top three winners. The champions received QR 50,000, the runners-up QR 40,000 and third-place team gained QR 30,000.
The event brought together six teams, who were divided into two groups. Group A included Human Resources, IT and QOC President teams, while Group B included Secretariat General, Sports Affairs and Financial Affairs.
QOC stages this annual sport event during the holy month of Ramadan in an effort to strengthen relations between the QOC staff, as well as to boost the Sport For All concept.
