Qatar Armed Forces' troops in Najran arrived in Doha Wednesday after participating in military operations as part of the Arab coalition forces.

HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and a number of ranking Qatari Armed Forces officials received the troops upon their return.
The Qatar Armed Forces' troops in Najran defended the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from acts of aggression.
They also contributed to the protection of the southern borders of Saudi Arabia by participating in military operations with hundreds of troops from different ranks.
Dozens of troops were martyred and injured while protecting the region and supporting the right of the Yemeni people.
The coalition forces managed as a result of these efforts to free Yemen's temporary capital Aden.
They then liberated the remaining governorates of the South to enabled them to come under the control of the legitimate government, along with the strategic Al Mandeb Strait.
This provided control to supporters of legitimacy in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Qatari troops at the air base in Khamis Mushait arrived on Tuesday in Doha after participating in military operations as part of the Arab coalition forces in Yemen.
HE the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem and a number of ranking officers received the troops.
The Qatari Emiri Air Force performed 2,010 hours of military duty, during which it bombed a number of targets belonging to Houthi militias and the deposed Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The Emiri Air Force also carried out more than 2,688 hours of air transport and strategic and technical support, during which it transported more than 12,000 tonnes of supplies and ammunition to the Saudi forces through the Qatari strategic military transport capabilities.
The participation of Qatar's Emiri Air Force in the coalition contributed to helping supporters of the legitimate government in Yemen regain control.
It also aided the forces supporting President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi regain control of a number of sites seized by Houthi militants, helping them make big advances in battles.
