Under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the eighth batch of recruits graduated yesterday at a special Qatari Armed Forces National Service graduation event officially and exclusively sponsored by Ooredoo.
Alongside HH the Emir, senior military officials, ministers and parents of recruits attended the ceremony. Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani, CEO of Ooredoo Group, attended on behalf of Ooredoo in addition to senior executives from the company.
The eighth batch of National Service recruits, which included 650 recruits, received military and academic programmes and training in infantry, fitness, light weapons, shooting, field battle skills and civil defence, along with programmes on first aid, community culture, self-development and religious programmes during the course period.  
Talking about the event, Ooredoo Qatar CEO Waleed al-Sayed said: “It was an honour for Ooredoo to help support such a prestigious and important event for our country and Qatar National Vision 2030. I applaud all the graduates who completed the National Service as well as the Qatari Armed Forces team who trained them.”
In a statement, Ooredoo said it supports and sponsors a host of CSR initiatives throughout the year, including the annual Disaster Management Camp, Qatar National Day celebrations, Qitcom and more.
