A 250m stretch on Al Wukair Temporary Street will be closed from April 7 to expedite completion of a 22km main carriageway.
Motorists travelling from Al Wukair Temporary Street towards the Religious Complex can turn right onto the newly constructed Umm Besher Interchange, go straight at the roundabout and turn right to continue towards F-Ring Road.
Those travelling on Al Wukair Temporary Street from the F-Ring Road towards Al Wukair will be required to turn right and follow the diversion route along Barwa City. Then they have to turn towards the newly constructed Jery Musabbeh Interchange to access Al Wukair Temporary Street (as shown on the map).
The main carriageway is part of Ashghal’s East West Corridor Project. It will have five lanes in each direction, providing direct, free flow traffic between the Industrial Area and Hamad International Airport.
A significant section of main carriageway of Ashghal’s interfacing Al Wakra Bypass project and key interchanges on the East-West corridor project are also scheduled to open to traffic over the next few months.
Ashghal hopes this will improve traffic flow and provide accessibility to surrounding facilities.
