A parade of Ferrari cars, organised by Alfardan Sports Motors in collaboration with Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Museums and Mawater Centre, officially kicked off the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Italian marque in the country.
With over 50 ‘Cavallino Rampante’ models cruising together in the parade, the “exhilarating sound of Ferrari engines roared through the streets of Doha”, according to a press statement.
This year, Qatar has been selected as the first in the region to lead the worldwide festivities that are under way to mark Ferrari’s seven decades of automotive excellence. Together with 60 nations across the globe, the country will host a spectrum of bespoke experiences for Ferrari clients and enthusiasts under the theme of ‘Driven by Emotion’.

Alfardan Sports Motors is the official dealer of Ferrari in Qatar. As part of the parade, a convoy of top-ranging models convened at the Ferrari showroom at The Pearl-Qatar, under the Qatari flag.
To rev up the excitement, the special limited-edition LaFerrari Aperta made an appearance as the symbol of the brand’s 70th anniversary, leading the fleet across the Doha skyline along the Corniche and the deserts around before halting at Al Zubarah Fort.
Al Zubarah, the country’s first Unesco World Heritage Site, played host to an evening featuring a variety of traditional performances, including a gala dinner infused with local flavours.
Guests were treated to a special horse parade, which demonstrated the common equestrian heritage anchoring the Qatari culture and Ferrari’s famed logo.
“We proudly gather here to celebrate not just the brand, but the extraordinary legacy that it has created since 1947. Ferrari has always stood as an icon of automotive excellence, captivating our discerning Qatari clients with its promise of exclusivity and luxury. On its 70th year, we are extremely thrilled to unveil the LaFerrari Aperta as the grand attraction of the parade. The model embodies the core values of technological innovation, performance and style while offering a unique open-top driving experience,” said Charly Dagher, general manager of Ferrari Qatar, Alfardan Sports Motors.
He added, “As the country’s trusted importer of Ferrari, our customers represent the heart of our journey. We reaffirm our commitment to bring the complete brand experience to Qatar and build on its legacy, generation after generation.”
A special website www.ferrari70.com has been launched to chronicle the anniversary celebrations as they unfold throughout the year. The site also shares the tale of Ferrari’s journey, introducing pivotal moments and individuals through its history.
