Gulf Craft, ‘the innovative builder of luxury yachts and leisure boats’, has presented its largest display ever in Qatar at its annual exclusive preview event which concludes on Friday at the Porto Arabia in The Pearl-Qatar.
The impressive showcase comprises 16 yachts and boats, ranging from 31ft to 125ft in length, and includes the country-debut of the builder’s latest masterpiece, the Majesty 100.
Accounting for ‘more than 40% of Qatar’s market share for leisure craft’, Gulf Craft is also celebrating its 35-year anniversary.
Gulf Craft’s display includes the luxurious 38m Majesty 125, as well as the latest debuts in the shipyard’s line of Silvercraft fishing boats and family cruisers, and selections from the builder’s long-range Nomad Yachts and Oryx sport cruisers.
The Majesty 100 is the first in Gulf Craft’s superyacht collection to have a partially enclosed fly-bridge.
With stunning exteriors, interiors, naval architecture and design courtesy Gulf Craft’s very own in-house Design Studio, the Majesty 100 features sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light to flow abundantly through the superyacht’s main deck.
Two hydraulic extendable balconies fixed on both ends of the back-seating area offer passengers an alfresco experience while still having quick access to the craft’s main indoor living and entertainment areas.
At the opening of the event, Gulf Craft chairman Mohamed Hussein al-Shaali said the company is witnessing an increased interest for recreational cruising among Qatar’s affluent millennials.
In an interview with Gulf Times, Gulf Craft CEO Erwin Bamps had recalled that during the last 35 years, the company delivered nearly 10,000 yachts and boats, and invested more than $140mn in product research and development.
The Gulf Craft fleet is on view at Porto Arabia, Gate 5, The Pearl-Qatar, from 3.30pm to 9.30pm.
