The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (Goic) has signed a contract with Gulf Marketing Event Management & Advertising to organise the ‘1st Forum of GCC Food Products Manufacturers and Food Security Programme’.
The forum, according to Goic, will be held in conjunction with the ‘1st International Exhibition for Food, Beverage and Process Technology (Foodex) at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre from April 2 to 4.
Goic secretary-general Abdulaziz bin Hamad al-Ageel reiterated Goic’s role as a regional diplomatic organisation that aims “to achieve industrial cooperation and coordination to reach economic integration in the GCC region.”
Al-Ageel said: “In light of the importance of food products manufacturing and its vital role in achieving food security and self-sufficiency, Goic decided to hold the ‘1st Forum of GCC Food Products Manufacturers and Food Security Programme’ in parallel with Foodex in Qatar.”
Gulf Marketing CEO Salah Janahi said the company, in its capacity as strategic partner, aims to introduce investment opportunities in the GCC industrial sector. The forum, he added, will provide data on food industries and food security policies in the region and allow for fruitful discussions to promote the sector.
