For the second straight show Mountaser Laffan was adjudged as the Stallions Champion, while Deenara Al Waab emerged as the Mares Champion on the second and final day of the 7th Qatar International Arabian Peninsula Horse Show at the indoor arena of Al Shaqab on Saturday.
Laffan Stud-owned Mountaser Laffan had won the 2nd Qatar National Peninsula Arabian Horse Show for Individual Owners a month ago, and on Saturday, he topped Class 10 for 4-6-year-old Stallions earlier in the day to make his way into the Championship round, where he was adjudged as the Gold winner.
Saad Ahmad al-Saadi-owned Mva Colour Me Cool, winner of (Merged) Class 11-12 for 7-10-year-old and 11 year-old and over Stallions, was the Silver Champion among the stallions, while Rashid Hussayen al-Khayarin-owned Nimr Al Naif, who had finished third behind Mountaser Laffan and Bahij in Class 10, took Bronze in the Championship round.
Just like Mountaser Laffan, Deenara Al Waab too had topped her class earlier in the day, winning Class 7A for 4-6-year-old Mares.
Farida Al Nasser, winner of Class 8 for 7-10yo Mares, was adjudged as Silver Champion, ahead of Tibrah Al Shaqab, who had finished behind Menouah Al Rayyan in Class 7B for 4-6-year-old Mares earlier in the day.
Mesfer Mohammed al-Hajri-owned Safir Umm Aludham, who had missed out on the Championship Gold in January, redeemed himself winning the Junior Colts Championship on Saturday.
The Class 6 winner from the first day of the Show on Friday, won Gold ahead of Sayf Al Jood, Class 5 (two-year-old Colts) runner up, and Haboob, runner up behind the Championship topper in Class 6 for three-year-old Colts.
Mashhoorah Al Shaqab won Gold in the Junior Fillies Championship ahead of Ghazalah Al Waab and Nadrah Al Nasser who won Silver and Bronze respectively.
The Al Shaqab-owned filly had topped Class 3A for three-year-old Fillies on Friday, while Ghazalah Al Waab and Nadrah Al Nasser too made it to the Championship round after winning their respective classes - 2A for two-year-old Fillies and 1B for Yearling Fillies.
