An amount of QR3.275mn was raised to support Syrians in Aleppo at a charity auction at Katara – Cultural Village Monday night.
Cars, including some classic vehicles, motorcycles, jewellery and fancy number plates were auctioned at AlBahie Auction House. Among the vehicles, a Lexus SUV fetched the top price of QR325,000. The vehicles were displayed at the Katara beach area and other items at the auction venue.
The items offered on auction were collected at a fundraising campaign on Qatar National Day at Darb Al Saai in association with Qatar Charity, Eid Charity, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) and Afif Charity when over QR290mn were received in donations for Aleppo.
