A request to prepare a mechanism for licensing food laboratories in Qatar was discussed by the Joint Committee on Human Food Control at its fourth meeting following restructuring. The committee approved the recommendation of the scientific team on 18 topics referred to it. A decision was issued on the co-ordination among the entities concerned with the control on the safety of imported meat. The committee also held another meeting with the directors of the municipalities on enforcement of the food safety standards in Qatar.
