Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), in association with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), organised its annual blood donation campaign, on Monday at its main office on Grand Hamad Street.
“The annual campaign was organised in order to restock the hospital’s blood bank and enhance the ability of local hospitals to save lives,” a QIB statement said.
The campaign received a strong response from employees who work at various QIB departments as well as customers who turned up to donate their blood.
“For over 10 years, QIB’s employees and customers have shown consistent interest in supporting the annual blood donation campaign” said Bassel Gamal, CEO, QIB Group.
“Being a leading Islamic bank, corporate social responsibility does not exist as a separate idea, it is a concept that is engraved in the core of everything that we do,” he added.
