Doha Festival City has announced that Teyseer Security has been awarded the contract for security services at the upcoming leisure, retail and entertainment destination.
Qatar-based Teyseer Security is preparing to take control of the 670,000sq m building as Doha Festival City prepares to open its doors to the public in February 2017, according to a press statement.
Prior to the opening, the security company will allocate 70 dedicated security professionals to Doha Festival City for the protection of all visitors and employees, with the guard force increasing to more than 100 upon the mall’s opening, the statement notes.
The security officers will be trained to cover every security aspect within the mall and they will also familiarised with the overall offering. The officers are considered as an extension of the customer service team for the protection of visitors and employees.
Trevor Hill, general manager of Doha Festival City Mall, said: “Doha Festival City, with the help of Teyseer Security, will ensure that customers feel protected, comfortable and at ease when they visit at any time of the day or night.”
Zaher El Khatib, business development manager at Teyseer Security, added: “The 100-strong guard force and team of dedicated supervisors and CCTV operators will include Arabic speakers and female guards to ensure that visitors to Doha Festival City will feel completely at ease.”
The QR6.5bn mixed-use Doha Festival City is set to “become a top leisure, retail and entertainment destination of choice in the region”. As well as employing world-class security services, Doha Festival City is in full compliance with the Ministry of Interior’s standards and requirements,” the statement added.
