Logistics provider GWC has offered its employees free health checkup through an initiative held in co-operation with Naseem Al Rabeeh Medical Centre.
Entitled ‘GWC Wellness Day’, employees received free checkup of their blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and height and weight from medical professionals at the GWC headquarters along D-Ring Road. Based on the evaluation, the employees were advised on whether or not they should seek further follow-up with a doctor.
The event was the second of a series in GWC. The first event was held in the company’s Logistics Village Qatar (LVQ) in September. In total, 410 employees participated in both events. The series will continue with the upcoming ‘Wellness Day’ planned for the Street 15 facility in the coming months.
“Health and well-being of our employees is of paramount importance to GWC, as our people have always been at the core of what we offer, which is in line with our commitment toward the actualisation of Qatar National Vision 2030,” said GWC Group CEO Ranjeev Menon.
He added: “Our commitment to upholding and performing our services in accordance with the best quality, health, safety, and environmental practices includes ensuring that our employees have access to the best possible medical care.”
