Two intersections at Duhail and Umm Salal Mohamed will be opened partially tomorrow along with the new three-lane Huwaila flyover, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced.
While the Duhail intersection will facilitate entry to and exit from Shamal Road, connecting roads between Izghawa and Lusail, the Umm Salal Mohamed intersection links Umm Salal Mohamed, Jeryan Jenaihat and Shamal Road.
Giving further details, the ministry said in a post on Facebook that the Duhail intersection includes the road that connects the west (Izghawa) to the road heading south on Shamal Road, road connecting Izghawa to the east (Lusail), road coming from the east (Lusail) towards Izghawa, the flyover connecting the east (Lusail) to the south on Shamal Road and the road from Shamal Road (towards Shamal) heading east (Lusail) and west (Izghawa).
The Umm Salal Mohamed intersection will include a road running from the west (Umm Salal Mohamed) towards the east (Jeryan Jenaihat), road running from the east (Jeryan Jenaihat) towards the west (Umm Salal Mohamed), road going from Shamal Road (towards Shamal) towards the east (Jeryan Jenaihat) and the road going from Shamal Road (towards Doha) towards the east (Jeryan Jenaihat) and west (Umm Salal Mohamed), according to the MoI.
Meanwhile, a new three-lane flyover will also be opened tomorrow, connecting Huwaila Street and Shamal Road towards the south (Doha). Motorists have been advised to follow traffic rules and adhere to the speed limit.
