Qatar Chamber has signed a strategic partnership agreement to sponsor the 10th edition of Heya Arabic Fashion exhibition, scheduled to be launched on October 26.
Qatar Chamber general manager Hamad Saleh al-Sharqi said this is part of the organisation’s keenness to support the private sector in the country, in particular businesswomen, to encourage them for further growth.
He stressed that Qatari businesswomen has made considerable achievements and some of them could be considered as excellent role models for women in business in the country.
“Throughout the past few years, the participation of Qatari women has increase considerably in the business fields. Also, the number of young women establishing successful private businesses has gone up,” pointed out al-Sharqi.
Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, Qatar Chamber board member and Qatari Businesswomen Forum chairperson, said that the forum will offer the due support to make the exhibition a success as Heya is considered as an important platform for experience change among the Qatari and GCC women in the field of business.
She stressed that the exhibition is an excellent opportunity for young businesswomen to meet and discuss their challenges and new ideas, and how to enhance their participation in the economic sector in their countries.
