Amana-Al Zaman tie-up

Sri Lanka’s Amana Bank recently launched an instant money remittance service to Sri Lanka in collaboration with Al Zaman Exchange. The tie-up provides Sri Lankans in Qatar with “a fast, reliable and convenient mode of money transfer” to their own or loved ones’ accounts in Amana Bank or any other bank in Sri Lanka, in rupees or US dollars, according to a press statement. Amana Bank is a licensed commercial bank in Sri Lanka whose operations are based on Islamic banking principles. Al Zaman Exchange, one of the leading remittance service providers in Qatar, operates through seven branches and services the
expatriate community in Qatar seven days a week. In the picture, Hazim Hamza, chairperson the Sri Lanka Muslim Professionals’ Forum – Qatar (SLMPQ), is seen receiving his receipt from Al Zaman Exchange Doha branch manager Juwaiz on conducting the first remittance to Amana Bank.
