Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) will host an international conference on breast cancer in October, Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor al-Thani, chairman of QCS, said yesterday. The conference will be held under the theme “current standards and new prospects” at Doha Sheraton on October 28 and 29.
Sheikh Khalid explained that the conference will provide a platform to promote quality healthcare for breast cancer patients and information and access to the latest developments on prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment. The conference has a large number of experts, lecturers and researchers from a number of countries such as the United States, Austria, Canada and the GCC. Officials from the Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care  Corporation and the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research will also take part in the conference. The conference will be accompanied by a medical exhibition. In addition,  there will be an educational programme that includes lectures, panel discussions and workshops.
