The Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has partnered with MasterCard to launch a new promotion this summer.
Customers who use their QIB MasterCard debit cards for international purchases until September 30 will be automatically entered for a chance to win prizes up to QR75,000. For every QR5,000 in international purchase done using a QIB MasterCard debit card during the eligibility period, a customer will receive one entry into the draw.
“QIB creates all of its products with its customers’ needs in mind,” said D Anand, general manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group. “We know that the summer months are a popular time for travelling abroad, which is why our MasterCard debit cards have been designed to make planning a holiday outside Qatar both easy and secure.”
“Affluent” and “Private” customers purchasing items outside Qatar with a QIB MasterCard Platinum or World Debit Card will be entered into a prize draw and become eligible to win. The more they use the card the higher the chances of winning, QIB said in a statement.
Over the course of the “Spend and Win” promotion, QIB and MasterCard will award a total of QR175,000 in prizes to five winners. The winners will be selected using a random electronic draw, which will take place in the presence of representatives from QIB, MasterCard and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
In August, QIB and MasterCard will select two winners, each of whom will receive their purchases back up to QR25,000. In October, QIB and MasterCard will select an additional two winners to receive their purchases backup to QR25,000 each, and one grand prize winner will get QR75,000.
