The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara will host today a lecture by renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik (pictured) at its amphitheatre at 8pm on the topic ‘Does God Exist?
There will be simultaneous translation covering Arabic, Urdu and Tagalog (Filipino) languages with live coverage from a number of local and international television networks.
A medical doctor by professional training, Dr Naik is renowned as an international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion. He is the president of Islamic Research Foundation in Mumbai.
The 50-year-old Indian scholar clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Qur’an, authentic Hadith and other religious scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts.
He is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks.
In the last 21 years, Dr Naik has delivered over 2,000 public talks across the world in addition to numerous lectures in India.
