A temporary closure will be in place for two days on both directions between the Mesaimeer Passport and Immigration Office and near the entrance of Al Jazeera Academy on the Wholesale Market Street.
A part of Mesaimeer Road between Rawdat Al Khail Street and Al Erbayyat Road will also be closed, Ashghal said in a statement.
The closure will be implemented in two phases: between 1am on May 27 and 4am on May 29 and between 11pm on June 2 and 4am on June 5.
Vehicles travelling to Abu Hamour, Ain Khalid, the Wholesale Market and Al Thumama areas will be able to use Rawdat Al Khail Street or the alternative routes shown on the attached map.
The partial closure of Wholesale Market Street and Mesaimeer Road is required to complete utilities ducts and other works on the Rawdat Al Khail Street Extension project, the statement added.

Ashghal also said that as part of the forthcoming works to install a new traffic signal between The Mall Signal and Al Thumama Signal on the Najma Street, a temporary closure will be in place on Oqba Bin Nafie Street in the Old Airport area.
The closure will be for three weeks starting from Thursday.
During the period, motorists travelling on Najma Street can access the local area by taking the next exit onto Ahmad Bin Hanbal Street before the D-Ring and Najma Street Junction (as shown on the attached map).
