“Opening seven showrooms on a single day is a record in jewellery industry,” said Kalyanaraman, who was accompanied by Rajesh Kalyanaraman and Ramesh Kalyanaraman, executive directors, Kalyan Jewellers.
“We assure the best possible jewellery shopping experience for the people of Qatar,” he said while explaining that Qatar is the third GCC country where the group has started operations after the UAE and Kuwait.
“We believe that such an emphatic presence will help us gain significant volume of market share and accelerate our growth plans. Kalyan’s relentless focus on quality, transparency and innovation will make shopping a delightful experience for the customers. The foray into Qatar takes the number of Kalyan Jewellers outlets into the 90s and we will soon hit a century of showrooms,” added Kalyanaraman.
“The outlets are located at Al Khor, Abu Hamour, Barwa Village, Gharaffa, Al Rayyan, Asian Town, and HBK Signal,” said Rajesh, who described the investment of QR200mn for the seven showrooms in Qatar as the ‘single largest investment by an expatriate group.’
“Qatar has always been a country where we wanted to launch our operations. We have pioneered several initiatives focusing the interest of the customers. We have 11 showrooms in the UAE and three in Kuwait.”
Ramesh said that opening seven showrooms on the same day shows the commitment of the group to the market and the customers. The spread of the outlets at all the areas of the country makes it convenient for the customers to make jewellery shopping a pleasant experience.
“The showrooms will be offering an exquisite and extensive collection of jewellery, with stunning designs,” he stated. The showrooms will have dedicated sections featuring Kalyan’s most popular house brands such as Ameera- exclusive Arabic wedding jewellery, Mudhra - handcrafted antique jewellery, Nimah - authentic heritage jewellery, Anokhi – uncut diamonds, Apoorva – diamonds for special occasions, Antara – wedding diamonds, Hera – daily wear diamonds and Rang – precious stones jewellery.
Bespoke collections such as Turkish, Antique and Omega will also be available in the showrooms. “The designs provide a sparkling range of contemporary and traditional designs to suit every celebration apart from elevating everyday wear,” Ramesh added.
