Ooredoo is the gold sponsor of the Yestaheloon campaign launched by Qatar Charity (QC) for the benefit of labourers in Qatar.
The campaign is part of the Tayef project’s initiatives to take care of low-income groups, particularly labourers. It is Tayef’s way of appreciating their role in the development of Qatar and their continued efforts, according to a statement.
The initiative also aims to create a joint and comprehensive relationship among members of the society and improve their conditions, the statement noted.
The Yestaheloon campaign seeks to enable individuals and companies to buy shopping coupons from Tayef markets and distribute them to labourers and low-income individuals. This way, these beneficiaries will be able to meet their needs through the Tayef
exhibitions.
Nayef al-Rumaihi, director of public affairs at QC, received a QR200,000 cheque from Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director of community and public relations at Ooredoo, in the presence of Amer al-Buseiri, director of the in-kind donations administration (Tayef) and a number of Ooredoo employees.    
Al-Rumaihi expressed gratitude for the efforts exerted by Ooredoo and its support for QC, particularly the Yestaheloon campaign. “Ooredoo has had a great impact on the beneficiaries and is the source of happiness for the needy and labourers who contribute to the building of Qatar.”
He also encouraged national institutions and companies to follow in the footsteps of Ooredoo.
On her part, al-Kuwari said: “I am pleased to announce that Ooredoo is the gold sponsor of Yestaheloon. It is part of our long history of community work and based on our co-operation with charity organisations in Qatar, QC in particular.”
Al-Buseiri said in return for Ooredoo’s efforts, QC would provide 5,000 coupons for Ooredoo, which they could distribute as per their wish. QC will also hold two exhibitions for selling clothes at nominal prices. In addition, the company’s logo will be printed on the covers of notebooks that will be printed throughout 2016 as well as in Yestaheloon advertisements.  
Yestaheloon coupons are distributed through shopping points where philanthropists can buy them for QR5 and QR10 for a coupon, and QR125 and QR250 for an entire booklet of coupons, respectively. The coupons are then distributed among labourers and low-income individuals.
The beneficiaries can get their needs from any of QC’s temporary and established markets around the country.
