The two-week Bulgarian exhibition titled “Symbols of Bulgarian Identity,” which features 20 paintings, has opened at Katara – the Cultural Village.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti.
The paintings, made by children aged between 5 and 12 comprised diverse masterpieces featuring Bulgarian traditions and customs.
Bulgarian ambassador Metin Hussein Kazak, together with embassy officials and envoys of Poland, Japan and Turkey, attended the event.
On behalf of the Bulgarian vice president, Kazak handed over a letter of gratitude to Dr al-Sulaiti and other Katara
affiliates. In his letter, the Bulgarian vice president lauded the role of Katara at honing children’s artistic skills and for giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents.
