Qatar Chamber (QC) has launched the third edition of the training programmes for customs clearance officers in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs (GAC).
The 13-day programme comprise 77 training hours. It covers various topics such as customs procedures and exemptions, types of customs charges, and certificate of origin, in addition to other practical issues.
The programme gives special focus to the customs terminology, international customs agreements and treaties, and the local regulations of customs.
The trainees, including a considerable number of women for the first time, would be qualified to sit for a final exam held by the GAC to get a professional certification as custom clearance officers.
