A number of labour inspectors (men and women) took the oath before HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi at the Ministry’s headquarters yesterday after obtaining the legal control authority and the completion of their theoretical and practical training to join their colleagues in the field.
In a press release issued yesterday, the Ministry said this new batch of inspectors comes as part of its effort to fully apply the rules of the labour law, standards of health and occupational safety, guarantee the rights of workers and employers, improve work conditions and ensure that workers are performing their duties in a healthy and safe workplace as well as having a decent residence.
The ministry stressed that it would continue to develop the labour market through the recruitment of new inspectors with the aim of contributing to the realisation of the contents of Qatar National Vision 2030 and Qatar National Development Strategy 2011-2016 (NDS) related to this field.
