Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov and QC officials witness the signing of an MoU yesterday.

Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and Tatarstan Chamber signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a view to strengthening  co-operation.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the meeting which was organised by the QCCI with Tatarstan delegation members who are currently visiting Doha. The delegation is headed by Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov.  
The meeting was co-chaired by QCCI Vice-President Mohamed bin Twar al-Kuwari and Tatarstan  Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors of the QCCI.
QCCI Vice-President Mohamed bin Twar al-Kuwari, and Chairman of the Board, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev signed the MoU.
The QCCI vice-president said that Qatar has achieved “tremendous progress” in several areas, including trade, oil, industry, agriculture and infrastructure. He added  that there are many areas for investment, especially projects being carried out for Qatar 2022 World Cup.
For his part, Karimov ex thanked  QCCI for hosting the meeting and said his country appreciates co-operation with representatives of  Qatari private sector,  citing that the objective of his visit is to brief  Qatari business community  on   his country’s available potential.
He said that Tatarstan was keen to attract Qatari businessmen to invest in his country, especially in energy, gas, oil and Islamic banking and tourism areas.
