Temperatures are likely to see a significant drop across Qatar today, according to the weather report, which has also forecast strong winds in some parts of the country.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to experience strong winds along with high seas, the Met office has said.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country are likely to be 21° Celsius and 27° C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 24° C and 27° C.
It will be hazy and cloudy today, with a chance of scattered rain in some places, along with thunder, at first.
It will become partly cloudy later, the weather report states, noting that the wind speed may touch 22kt in some parts.
Partly cloudy and slightly dusty conditions are likely in offshore areas, along a chance of scattered rain that may be accompanied by thunder at first.
The wind speed in these places is likely to range from 15kt to 25kt, going up to 28kt.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 3km or less in some places.
Earlier in the day, the Met department – through a notification on its Twitter page – warned of unstable weather and rain, along with a chance of thundershowers, until this morning.
It warned people to remain cautious during thundershowers that might be accompanied by strong winds and a drop in visibility.
