Bearish trend prevails in Qatar stock market

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 35.46 points (-0.30) when the bourse closed trading at 11,635.04 points on Wednesday.

The daily turnover increased to QR 238.84mn with a volume of 5,215,636 shares from 3,577 deals compared to QR 190.29mn with a volume of 4,158,700 shares from 3,321 deals on Tuesday.

The market capitalisation decreased to QR 613.74bn from QR 616.03bn registered on Tuesday.

Indices of six sectors ended in red and one in green.

Insurance index dropped -1.57% to 4,697.78 points. Telecoms index decreased -1.07% to 1,019.61 points and Consumer goods and services index declined -1.01% to 6,928.88 points.

QSE Total Return Index decreased to -0.30% to 18,085 points, QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index lost -0.32 to 4,529.85 points and QSE All Share Index dropped -0.41% to 3,104.94 points.

Of the 43 companies listed on QSE, investors exchanged shares of 38. Of them, nine gained, 27 went down, and two were unchanged.
