Ooredoo celebrated World Friendship Day recently by hosting a special screening of the latest blockbuster Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation for 30 lucky winners and their best friends.
The competition, which asked Ooredoo customers to share a picture of their happiest moment with their best friends, selected 30 winners at random to go to the screening with a friend at the new cinema, Novo in the Pearl.
World Friendship Day is celebrated on 30 July each year, and was originally introduced in 1958 by the World Friendship Crusade. The day is celebrated online and via events around the world.
Fatima Sultan al- Kuwari, Director Community and Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “We want to unite our customers and give back, and World Friendship Day was a perfect opportunity for us to do something fun. We love surprising our customers as part of our #OoredooWeekends initiative and we hope everyone enjoyed the screening.”
Ooredoo organised the private screening of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation on Thursday. The film, which has just been released, is the fifth installment in the Mission Impossible series and stars Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt.
