The International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) has launched a campaign that offers limitless thanq reward points to the bank’s credit cardholders who buy a car during the holy month of Ramadan.
IBQ head of Retail Banking Hassan al-Mulla said the campaign, which runs during Ramadan, will offer bank customers reward points when buying a car with their IBQ credit cards.
“Customers need to call the bank to register for the campaign before topping up their credit card limit to the price of the car to receive the limitless thanq points to the value of the car,” al-Mulla said.
“This could give IBQ credit card customers enough points to buy a return flight to Mumbai, Cairo, or Istanbul. If an IBQ Visa signature cardholder buys a car worth QR200,000, he will get points worth a return flight to Frankfurt.”
According to al-Mulla, all car showrooms in Qatar that accept payments by credit card, particularly Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Infinity, Jeep, Kia, Nissan, Peugeot, Ram, and Renault, are part of the campaign.
“This is an ideal time to buy a car if you are an IBQ credit cardholder as the thanq reward points will make it well worth it. Credit card customers who register for this campaign could receive enough points to fly to India, Turkey, or even Egypt. By rewarding customers in this way, our award-winning thanq programme shows how much we value their loyalty to our brand, services and products,” al-Mulla said.
He added: “IBQ pioneered the award-winning and highly-popular thanq loyalty programme. thanq offers IBQ customers the opportunity to accumulate points across a wide range of IBQ products and services and redeem them to book travel on more than 800 airlines and 160,000 hotels worldwide.”
