HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia and President of Yemen Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi in Riyadh yesterday.
The Emir discussed with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud the situation in Yemen, the latest Arab and international developments and matters of mutual concern.
The meeting, held at Al Auja Palace in Al Dera’iya, also dealt with further developing the close fraternal relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in various fields.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, members of the delegation accompanying the Emir and Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Mohamed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence, Chief of the Royal Court and Special Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and a number of princes.
Later, the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques accompanied the Emir on a tour of the palace during which King Salman showed the Emir historic photographs of King Abdulaziz as well as its heritage and antique collections.
During his talks with Yemeni President Hadi, the Emir discussed the latest developments in Yemen, and the efforts of Operation Determination Storm, led by Saudi Arabia. They also discussed ways to end the crisis in Yemen. The Emir affirmed Qatar’s continued support for Yemen in protecting its security and stability.
HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah, members of the delegation accompanying the Emir and the Foreign Minister of Yemen Dr Riyadh Yaseen attended the meeting.
The Emir also held a separate meeting with Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Mohamed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz al-Saud. They reviewed the relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia and means of developing them.
They also exchanged views on a number of current regional and international issues, especially developments in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah and members of the delegation accompanying the Emir.
On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Minister of Defence Prince Mohamed and a number of princes.
Following the meetings, the Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz in his honour.

Later the Emir left Riyadh Airbase Airport and returned to Doha in the evening, concluding a short visit to Saudi Arabia.
Earlier on arrival in Riyadh yesterday, the Emir was welcomed by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence, Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Qatar’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer al-Thani and a number of officials.


Emir visits Decisive Storm operations room


HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani visited the main operations room of Decisive Storm at Riyadh Airbase Airport yesterday.
He was welcomed upon arrival by Saudi Minister of Defence, Chief of the Royal Court and Special Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and ranking officers and military men.
The Emir listened to a briefing on the military plans and operations of the Decisive Storm and the goals which the coalition forces have achieved.
The Emir has had contacts, via satellite, with the coalition forces at Khamis Mushait Military Base. He praised their efforts and encouraged them to press ahead towards realising the security and stability of Yemen and to protect the security of Saudi Arabia and the whole region.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and members of the accompanying delegation also visited the operations room of Decisive Storm.
