The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) has announced the appointment of Dr Ali Hamed al-Mulla as assistant secretary-general for Industrial Projects Sector, representing the State of Qatar, replacing Mohamed al-Mazroui.
Before joining GOIC, al-Mulla was the director of the Central Administration of Health, Safety and Environment at Qatar Petroleum for 12 years.
Also, al-Mulla boasts of a 25-year career in various prominent positions such as vice-chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation from 2001 to 2004 and the director of the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in professional Meteorology, Climatology & Atmospheric Sciences from St Louis University in Missouri, and was the first Qatari to major and graduate in this field in 1986.
Al-Mulla also has a masters and doctorate degree from Boston University. He took part in several international conferences and has many peer-reviewed (refereed) scientific researches.
