Airbus Defence and Space is showcasing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), aircraft, radar systems and satcom services at Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition And Conference (Dimdex).

The three-day exhibition and conference, supported by Qatar Armed Forces and Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, opens on March 25 at the Qatar National Convention Centre here.

The defence company which generates 14bn euros revenue per year, is presenting products and solutions out of the former units Airbus Military, Astrium, Cassidian.

Airbus previously participated in this expo as European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (Eads) before the rebranding this January.

Highlights of Airbus presentation at booth H4-40 are UAV and the navigation system DeckFinder to enable their fully automatic landing on shipdecks and moving ground, the maritime patrol aircraft C295, the security radar family SPEXER, the multi-function surveillance and target acquisition radar TRS-4D, optronics products, the RESUS emergency system for submarines, and the Yasat telecom satellite model.

SCOTPatrol, the next generation of terminal for satcom services, will also be presented.
