HE the Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah, and HE the Minister of Public Health and the Secretary General of Supreme Council of Health, Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani, being briefed about the air ambulance aircraft.

HE the Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah, accompanied by HE the Minister of Public Health, and the Secretary General of Supreme Council of Health Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani, made an inspection tour of air ambulance aircraft which the Armed Forces have recently received and will operate for the Department of Ambulance at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
During the tour, they were briefed on the aircraft’s capabilities and medical equipment.
The Armed Forces recently received three Agusta Westland (AW139) air ambulance helicopters.
The ambulance and paramedical crew of HMC will receive thorough training on this type of aircraft, while the paper work and procedures of the aircraft operation will be finalised in preparation for their commissioning in the near future.
