A group of Indian fishermen released by Pakistan waves after crossing over to the Indian side at the India-Pakistan joint check post near Attari, some 30km from Amritsar yesterday. Pakistani authorities released 45 Indian fishermen as a gesture of goodwill. They were arrested while allegedly fishing in Pakistani waters. Maritime forces of both countries often detain fishermen from each other’s country who step across territorial borders.
