As the main telecommunications partner for HH the Emir Cup, Ooredoo has run a special “The People’s Cup” campaign to encourage people to attend the matches and cheer on the teams.
On Sunday, a delegation of the company’s senior officials - led by Ooredoo CEO Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani and chief new business officer Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser al-Thani - welcomed the trophy at Ooredoo Tower.
There was also a delegation of group CEOs from the international operations of the company, led by Dr Nasser Marafih, Ooredoo Group CEO.
Ooredoo’s senior executives also confirmed their attendance at the final of HH the Emir Cup, which will be played between Al Rayyan and Al Sadd at Khalifa Stadium on May 18.
“The People’s Cup” campaign is in line with Ooredoo’s corporate social responsibility programme, which includes promoting sports in Qatar.
As part of the campaign, Ooredoo has seen tremendous public response to a series of sports-themed activities and contests at Souq Waqif, Landmark Mall and Villaggio Mall. Fans at the final can participate in an Ooredoo prize draw.
