The 10th edition of the prestigious Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) will be held at the Doha Exhibitions Center (DEC) from February 25 to March 3.
On display will be over 530 luxury and premium brands from different parts of the world.
According to the organisers the event will see at least 15% more products on display compared to the previous year.
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) chairman Issa bin Mohamed al-Mohannadi said at a press conference that this year’s exhibition, which will occupy nearly 15,000 sq m of space at the DEC, is expected to attract close to 50,000 visitors.
Al-Mohannadi said there would be a total of 26 exhibitors, all from Qatar, but they would be backed by hundreds of officials representing various luxury and premium brands, coming from several countries, mainly from Europe, Far East and the Middle East and the GCC.
The QTA chairman said the exhibition, now in its 10th year, has attracted world-wide attention and its popularity is growing over the years.
“This is evident from the growing numbers of premium brands at the exhibition every year,” al-Mohannadi said adding the event has given a boost to the country’s image as a major exhibition centre at the international level.
“The QTA is committed to promoting this country as a top-notch destination for business, industry, conferences, cultural events, education, sports and leisure, providing world-class amenities and tourism services to the visitors and customers,” the QTA chief said.
