A senior official of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said failure to follow quarantine measures is one of the biggest reasons for the rise in Covid-19 cases in the country.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that the age- and health-based hotel quarantine exemption is not applicable for arrivals from the UK, South Africa, Netherlands and Denmark.
According to Discover Qatar website, all passengers arriving on flights originating from the UK will be required to stay at one of the following dedicated quarantine hotels, including Intercontinental Doha Hotel 5* and Mercure Grand Doha 4*.
Quarantine requirements have been extended for all arrivals in Qatar up to February 15, 2021, according to information available on the Discover Qatar website.
The designated authorities arrested on Friday five people who violated the requirements of the home quarantine they committed to, following which they are legally accountable for, in accordance with the procedures of the health authorities in the country.
