A breeding pair of Eurasian Kestrel — a species of the falcon family — has been spotted atop one of the architectural landmarks of Qatar, according to a falcon researcher.
The Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition – S’hail 2018 has received praise from the exhibitors for its high standards and evoking interest among visitors.
The exhibition will also offer daily lectures on falconry and breeding falcons, delivered by experts in the field.
The Qatari Society of Al-Gannas has launched a unique initiative to release falcons of willing falconers in Qatar to nature again. The initiative aims at preserving and enhancing biodiversity and further boost the protection of the environment.
Speaking about the Katara International Hunting & Falcon Exhibition ‘S’hail’, which runs until September 24 at Katara, Farhan al-Sayed pointed out that owning a falcon and falconry “has high cultural value.”
