The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced it will divert traffic on Lijmiliya Road for two months to enable the construction of a 2.3km section of a new road as part of an expressway project.

Projects worth more than QR38.98bn are currently underway across Qatar as part of Ashghal's plan to develop the country's Expressways.

A 6-month diversion will be in place on a three-kilometre stretch of Al Jamaliya Road on both directions, starting from April 16.
