The Department of Meteorology Monday warned of reduced visibility as low as 2km late night and early morning for one week from Monday.
The relative humidity is expected to increase in the country until the weekend and there is a chance of mist/fog formation in some areas, the Qatar Met department has said.
The humidity level soared to above 85% in some areas last evening, the Qatar Met department tweeted, noting that the conditions were favourable for fog formation from late at night until early in the morning.
The country is expected to continue experiencing high relative humidity at night along in the coming days, the Qatar Met department has said.
A “noticeable rise in temperature” is expected in different parts of the country from Friday until Sunday, the Qatar Met department has said.
Weather inshore until 6 pm on Monday will be hazy to misty or foggy at places at first, becoming mild temperature during daytime and cold by night inshore, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. The Department also warned of poor horizontal visibility at places.
The thick blanket of fog that enveloped many parts of Qatar late on Thursday night, early morning and late night on Friday, is expected to prevail early Saturday also.
The train was heading for the Bihar state capital of Patna when the accident took place at 4:15 am when most travellers were asleep.
