Firefighters are gaining momentum as they battle several wildfires that have destroyed dozens of homes and forced the evacuation of thousands of residents in California.
Firefighters in Northern California have made progress on a stubborn blaze west of Sacramento, allowing some residents to return to their homes after they were evacuated.
The fire brigade said "around 100 firefighters are tackling a large fire at a hotel of 12 floors in Knightsbridge", a luxury area of central London where Harrods department store is located.
