Qatar is “extremely well positioned” to attract Chinese tourists due to its luxurious offerings and high level of service, a Welcome Chinese senior official has said.
The second edition of Shop Qatar will kick off from January 7 to February 7, 2018 with a series of nation-wide promotion offers, discounts, entertainment and public celebrations, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) and Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) have announced.
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) aims to open representative offices in India and Russia before the end of this year, head of Marketing and Promotion at the QTA Rashed al-Quraisi has said.
Tourism delegates from various countries around the world had the opportunity to explore Qatar’s rich culture and heritage, natural treasures, and its eco-friendly practices in various tourism infrastructures in field trips organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA).
The new system will allow eligible visitors to obtain an ETA by completing a simple online application prior to travel.
The new headquarters in China becomes QTA’s third office in Asia and ninth globally, including the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, the US, the GCC markets and Southeast Asia.
