Thirty Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation authorities’ prisons have staged a hunger strike rejecting their continuing administrative detention.
Palestinian sources reported in statements that 30 Palestinian prisoners staged an open hunger strike yesterday, explaining that such a step comes in light of the administrative detention operations escalated by the Israeli authorities, in addition to the expansion of targeting of Palestinian activists across the occupied territories.
The sources stated that the number of administrative prisoners in the occupation prisons has now reached 760 detainees, which include children, elderly and sick people, pointing out that they filed a message couple of days ago in which they asserted that confronting the administrative detention would continue.
