Sidra Medicine will host its eighth annual Precision Medicine Functional Genomics (PMFG) Symposium from September 23-26. The event, at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, will be preceded by a Biotech Forum on September 22.

With the return to a physical event for our eighth annual PMFG symposium, we continue to draw clinical and scientific expertise at all levels to showcase the latest advances in Precision Medicine, and demonstrate Qatar’s leadership of this field in the region.”
PMFG 2022 will feature the following themes: Day 1: Worldwide National Programmes and Clinical Trials of Precision Medicine; Day 2 - Technologies and Clinical Approaches Advancing Precision Medicine and Paediatric Cancer Immunotherapy; Day 3 - Technologies and Experimental Approaches Advancing Translational Genomics; and Day 4 - Large Scale Genomes and Precision Medicine Initiatives in Qatar and the Mena region.
International speakers at PMFG 2022 include Dr Patrick Tan (Precision Health Research Singapore), Dr Matthew Porteus (Stanford University, USA), Dr Eleftheria Zeggini (Helmholtz Munich, Germany) and Dr Ali Gharavi (Columbia University, USA).
PMFG 2022 Chairs, Dr Chiara Cugno, director of Advanced Cell Therapy Core and Dr Luis Saraiva, principal investigator said: “PMFG 2022 will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community members to explore the latest developments and innovations in biomedical research and how they translate into precision medicine solutions.
