BMKQ, an organisation of Filipino workers in the construction industry, through the support of Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI) conducted a one-day seminar on Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping. Engineer Meliza M Ortiguerra, president, BMKQ, described the seminar as important in preparation for migrant workers' reintegration back home.
The seminar concluded with a pre-membership orientation session facilitated and presented by Cheryl Marielou V Cayaban – faculty member of BMKQ E&TC and the current president of HERO-Qatar; oath-taking of new BMKQ members before engineer Belinda E Dela Cruz – chair of BMKQ membership committee, and distribution of certificates of completion to participants.
