Qatar has participated in the India-GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) Business Conference, which was organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within India’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Qatar’s delegation included Nasser bin Mohamed al-Muhannadi, commissioner-general and chairman of the Preparation Committee for Qatar’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, Abdulbasit al-Ajji, assistant chairman of the Preparation Committee for Qatar’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and Abby Chan, representing the Qatar Financial Centre.
Doha’s participation stems from its keenness to enhance trade, investment, and industrial relations between the two countries, as well as to further existing partnerships, and pave the way for new partnerships.
Qatar is participating in Expo 2020 Dubai through a special pavilion that features several activities and events, which highlight the country's march towards achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
The pavilion will also shed light on the mega and pioneering projects that have been completed to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, in addition to previewing the incentives and investment opportunities provided by the state to implement its economic diversification plans, as per the Qatar Second National Development Strategy 2018-22.
