Saudi ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah al-Farhan al-Saud extended his invitation during a meeting with the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) in Doha Wednesday.
Saudi ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah al-Farhan al-Saud has invited Qatari businessmen to visit Saudi Arabia and "explore" the investment opportunities there in light of the economic and “dynamic development” that the kingdom is witnessing via the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.


The ambassador extended his invitation during a meeting with the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) held in Doha Wednesday. The meeting, which was presided over by QBA chairman Sheikh Fasial bin Qassim al-Thani, comes within the framework of strengthening economic and trade relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was attended by QBA first deputy Hussain Alfardan, as well as QBA board members Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani al-Thani, Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser al-Thani, and Saud bin Omar al-Mana.
QBA members Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad al-Thani, Khaled al-Mannai, Salah al-Jaidah, Nabil Abu Issa, Abdul Salam Issa Abu Issa, Mohamed al-Rabban, Maqbool Khalfan, Abdullah al-Kubaisi, Faisal al-Mana, Ihsan al-Khyiami, Dr Mohamed Althaf, and QBA deputy general manager Sarah Abdullah also attended the meeting.
Prince Mansour thanked QBA for organising the meeting, saying his visit aims to strengthen ways of cooperation and facilitate partnerships between the business sectors of both countries. He lauded the role played by QBA and the businessmen in strengthening and advancing Qatar’s economy despite the pandemic.
Sheikh Faisal also thanked the Saudi ambassador for his visit, citing its importance in strengthening brotherly relations. He expressed the openness of QBA to discuss investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
He also spoke about the “great opportunities” available in the Qatari market and Qatar’s “favourable investment climate,” which Saudi businessmen could benefit from. Sheikh Faisal said the Qatari economy is moving towards diversification according to the country’s national strategy.
Qatar is keen to strengthen economic relations and move towards the industrial sector as a main focus in the diversification plan and reduce dependency on hydrocarbon resources and invest in all sectors, Sheikh Faisal stressed.
QBA members gave an overview of the various economic specialisations of their companies and the investment sectors they are interested in. QBA members also stressed their readiness to develop ties with their counterparts and to study possible investment projects in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Faisal concluded the meeting by expressing his gratitude for the Saudi ambassador’s visit and stressed QBA’s readiness to cooperate with their counterparts and the private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the economic interests of both countries.
