Al Khor Family Park received over 2,300 visitors on the first two days of Eid al-Adha. While there were 700 visitors on the first day, the second day saw 1,600 visitors. Ali Majid al-Shahwani, supervisor of Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality, told local Arabic daily 'Arrayah' that all visitors adhered to the Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures set by the authorities concerned.
These include wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance and showing the Ehteraz green status before entering the park, which receives visitors daily from 8am to 10pm. “Al Khor Family Park is a favourite destination for families and is witnessing an increasing turnout during the Eid holidays. Visitors are aware of measures that are applied to preserve public health,” al-Shahwani said.
The official added that ticket reservation facilities will be soon available at the gates. Visitors can book entry tickets online and obtain tickets from the devices at the park after scanning QR code. This is in order to avoid crowding and dispense tickets without physical contact. Also, tickets will be available in eight Al Meera branches.
