At the meeting of the executive committee of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) which was held via video conference, Qatar has reviewed its latest preparations for hosting the International Horticultural Expo Doha 2023.

al-Khoury, during the meeting, pointed out the continuous efforts and endeavours made in preparation for Qatar hosting this event, despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic resulting in changing of the hosting year.
He reviewed the latest developments among the members and attendees of the BIE Executive Committee, and said that this important event will contribute to providing pivotal foundation for potential investments in innovative agricultural technologies, promote global environmental awareness and support the conversion of dry lands into agricultural areas.
He renewed the invitation to all BIE member states and horticulture supporters around the world to visit Doha in 2023, not only to learn about its unique heritage, but also to become part of this new awareness and global movement towards a "Green Desert, Better Environment", which is the official theme of the exhibition.
It is worth mentioning that Horticultural Expo Doha 2023 will open its doors in October 2023, and will continue until March 28, 2024. This event is expected to attract more than 3mn visitors from more than 80 countries, and will be held at the Al Bidda Park, one of the most popular public spots and located in the heart of Doha.
